Welcome to the 40th General Assembly of the European Seismological Commission. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website and participation in our congress. By accessing our website or registering for the congress, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Registration and Participation
Eligibility: Participation in the congress is open to researchers, academics, industry professionals, and students in geoscience and related fields. All participants must be at least 18 years old or have guardian consent.
Registration Requirements: To participate in the congress, you must:
• Complete the registration process accurately and truthfully
• Provide valid contact and professional information
• Pay applicable registration fees by the specified deadlines
• Comply with all congress policies and guidelines
Registration Fees: All registration fees must be paid in full before the congress. Fees are non-refundable except as specified in our cancellation policy.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Participant Cancellations:
• Cancellations made 60 days or more before the congress: 80% refund
• Cancellations made 30-59 days before the congress: 50% refund
• Cancellations made less than 30 days before the congress: No refund
• No-shows: No refund
Congress Cancellation: If we cancel the congress due to unforeseen circumstances, we will provide a full refund or transfer your registration to a future event.
Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to:
• Maintain professional and respectful behavior at all times
• Respect the intellectual property rights of presenters and attendees
• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior
• Follow all venue rules and local laws
• Respect the confidentiality of preliminary research and unpublished data
Violations: We reserve the right to remove any participant who violates our code of conduct without refund.
Intellectual Property
Congress Content: All congress materials, including presentations, abstracts, and documentation, are protected by intellectual property laws. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited.
Photography and Recording: The congress may be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes. By participating, you consent to such recording and use of your likeness.
Presentations: Presenters retain copyright to their original work but grant us a non-exclusive license to use abstracts and materials for congress-related purposes.
Website Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You may not:
• Use the website in any way that violates applicable laws
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
• Use automated systems to access or scrape our website
• Interfere with other users' access to the website
Disclaimer of Warranties
The congress and website are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:
• Uninterrupted or error-free access to the website or congress
